Reason for leaving the Job… Establishment shut down
I joined Crown Processors and their subsidiary company Crown Cine Service when they were just setting up Crown Studio having in-house Shooting Floors, Facilities and a Production House for Feature Films, Telefilms, Tele Series, Dramas, and Albums and I was Involved in Setting up the Studio floors a total of 6 studio floor of a size of 2 floors of 16000sq feet, 2 floors of 6000sq feet respectively, Ready Locations of Corporate Office, 4 star Hospital location and Exterior and Interiors of Police Station.
In November 1994, I visited the place it was all filled with old clothes mill junk, Looms Machine foundations, and even a portion of the building still running with a Fabric processing unit making lots of sound and Vibration in the building For me or any other person it was nearly impossible to get it to turn into a studio but I took the challenge and we decided to use the junk and started with selling the Junk not throwing away, whatever Money we get from selling the Junks we used it making the infrastructures like Makeup rooms, common toilets and washrooms for Crew and making it shooting friendly and above all making it soundproof, it took me and My small team about six months to get it ready.
I started marketing our studios by calling the production houses, sending postcards, letters, and Pamphlets and meeting EPs Personally, why Personally just I think when you meet a person Personally you can convince him more and by the way watching his or her reaction or expressions during the conversation you can negotiate your deal better.
Yes, we got lucky and one of my friend’s Production designers help me in getting my first client a big commercial film Director to shoot in my studio he booked my studio for 4 days initially but during the shooting of these Four days, he gave an advance cheque which entitled him for Fifteen days booking flat for next every month.
Now we started looking for a booking for our big floor a 12000 sq feet area and we managed it also.
In our first year of the studio’s business, we managed to get 10 million Rupees in business that a huge amount for a startup at that time seeing this person who was interested in this business kept meeting me and offering me to join their company to start and market there studio as well which I declined.
For me, the best compliment came when the management of the Government-run studio Film city ask me to help them to streamline their studio’s charges and billing Which I did..
During the establishment of studio, I managed construction, Marketing and management of the studio on a day to day operations I was looking of hiring the technicians, purchasing the Required Equipment for the Studio, Coordinating with the Interior Designing Team, Supervising Shoots and co-ordinate with every in-house Departments Like… Set designer Team, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Air conditioning, Masonry, Ceiling etc. and made their Daily Progress Report, Material in Stock … while working with Crown cine service I was looking after in-house Studio Floors and In-house Production Facilities for films, Telefilms, Tele Series, Dramas, and Albums dealing with different Problem of different Technicians solving their glitches keeping a tab on Budget and Quality of In house Projects, Managing the Studio with another project like Branding, Direct Marketing as well as Tele Marketing of Crown Processors.
I was involved from planning to execution and Business management getting clients’ production houses to shoot.

3) A Interior of a Hospital with a Lobby and Operation Theater having an area of 3600 sq feet ( with 2 different changes in a time of 8 years)
4) A Interior of a Bungalow of an area of 2710 sq feet ( with 4 different changes in a time of 8 years)

Worked as a Set Design consultant in Malaysia’s first digital channel NTV 7 jobs included To create ideas & concepts for set for the production of programs in coordination with producers according To their requirement. To manage & ensure maximum usage of Studios for the time allocated to the producer of their in-house shooting. To ensure maximum usability of set & props through re-utilization/re-cycling set and props.
